We are delighted to announce that Australian Science Innovations (ASI) have been honoured as a recipient of the Exceptional STEM Volunteer Award for 2024. ASI was selected by the ACT Children’s Week Committee as an organisation that has made a significant contribution to enriching the skills of science, technology, engineering and mathematics in children and young people.

Children’s Week is recognised across Australia as a celebration of the right of children to enjoy childhood. The theme for 2024 is: children have the right to a clean and safe environment. Here at ASI, we are proud to support future scientists and partner with organisations who are ardent about this topic. Our programs encourage young people to explore their interests and expand their knowledge in STEM subjects, whilst also broadening their horizons, building global connections and enjoying STEM!

Our dedicated teams, which include generous volunteers, work so hard to infuse their love of STEM into our programs, events and activities. This award recognises their efforts in delivering challenging science extension programs, such as the Big Science Competition, Junior Science Olympiad, Australian Science Olympiads and Curious Minds – girls in STEM for high school students.

On hand to accept the award from Aunty Violet Sheridan was ASI representative Geraldine Stringer, Program Manager – Digital. Thank you to the committee, sponsors and supporters of ACT Children’s Week.
