Big Science Competition 2025 Giveaway Terms and Conditions
1) Participants in the Big Science Competition 2025 will be automatically entered into one prize draw to win one of eight prizes with winners randomly selected. Once a participant has been randomly selected, it will be omitted from any subsequent prize draws.
1.1) Prize draw 1. A school will be entered into the prize draw based on the numbers of year levels they register into the 2025 Big Science Competition. Capped at a maximum of 4 (four) entries, one per year level. Total value of all prizes in the pool is $2,000.00
1.2) Prize draw 2. Australian students receive one entry into the draw for completing the 2025 Big Science Competition. Total value is $1,000.00
2) The prizes for each prize draw are as follows.
Prize Draw 1 – Australian Schools: Australian Schools receive one entry into the draw for every year level they register into the 2025 BSC. Maximum entries per school = 4 | ||

Prize Draw 2 – Australian Students: Australian students receive one entry into the draw for completing the 2025 BSC.

3) Prizes are subject to availability. Prizes delivered directly from the supplier may be subject to shipping constraints. We reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
4) The 2025 Big Science Competition Giveaway is open to eligible Australian high schools and Australian high school students.
5) Eligible entries are entered into the Giveaway at no extra cost.
6) Participant is defined as a school, homeschool or tuition facility for Prize Draw 1, and as a student for Prize Draw 2. Participants must register or complete the Big Science Competition as described in Clause 1 to be automatically entered into the giveaway.
7) Duplicate registrations for the same participant are not allowed and will not increase the odds of winning a prize.
8) The prize draw will take place at Australian Science Innovations Oliphant Building at The Australian National University on Wednesday 11 June 2025, using a physical draw. The results will be published on asi.edu.au
9) All Prizes cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed in cash. The value of each prize as stated in these Terms and Conditions is stated in good faith.
10) All Prize winners will be notified by telephone, mail or email on Wednesday 11 June 2025 or otherwise as soon as reasonably possible following the Australian Science Innovations determining of the prize winners.
11) Australian Science Innovations will make all effort to contact and follow-up with prize winners, but if the winner does not make contact to claim their Prize within 30 days, the prize shall be deemed unclaimed.
12) In the event of any unclaimed Prizes, a redraw will take place at Oliphant Building, The Australian National University on 3 September 2025.
13) Australian Science Innovations may use any information (including personal information) provided by any person who registers for any reason in relation to the Competition.
14) The decision of Australian Science Innovations in relation to any aspect of the Competition will be final, and will be binding on every person who enters the Competition. No correspondence will be entered into.
15) If there is an event which prevents or hinders Australian Science Innovations conduct of the Competition, or Australian Science Innovations ability to deliver the prize to the Prize Winner, then the Australian Science Innovations may, in its discretion cancel the Competition subject to State Regulation or select other Prize Winners. Further, Australian Science Innovations may at its sole discretion recommence it under the same conditions.
16) Australian Science Innovations may at its discretion refuse to award any Prize to any student who fails to comply with the Big Science Competition Conditions of Entry.
17) The promoter of the Competition is Australian Science Innovations, Oliphant Building #60, The Australian National University ACT 2601. ABN: 81 731 558 309
18) Current employees, Board Members, and volunteers of Australian Science Innovations, and their families, are not eligible to enter the Competition.
